Noir - 2 English Theatre Season
StageLight&Magic's 2nd English theatre festival..
StageLight&Magic will be staging the 2nd English theatre festival from the 18th – 27th of July at the Punchi Theatre in Borella. This year’s festival covers 6 performance days in which 9 plays will be staged. All the plays being performed were written by famed American author Shel Silverstein. The plays being performed are: Wash & Dry, Blind Willie and the talking dog, Have a nice day, Buy one get one free, Click, The best daddy, Abandon all hope, The Lifeboat is sinking and No dogs allowed. Hamlet at Elsie’s Bar
A musical comedy anyone?......
StageLight&Magic will be staging a musical comedy called Hamlet at Elsie’s bar in February 2009 at the Lionel Wendt theatre. This is the Worldwide premier performance on the show and work has already started on the soundtrack. This play tells the story of how an out of luck playwright called William Shakespeare comes to find the inspiration to write Hamlet. This play will require a large cast of singers and actors and auditions will be called in September.

24 – Puss is Back
An upcoming Pusstime... ..
Stagefright&Panic will be back in action in June 2009 at the Wendt when Sri Lanka’s most famous politician Chaminda Pusswedilla returns in this sequel to the popular political satire “Thank you for Voting”. “24 – Puss is Back” follows the antics of Pusswedilla and his merry men led by his Secretary Cyril Nitharamasuffering, His main financial backer Bernard Pagaagiving, his son Banki and his trade union leader Bimal Kammaliwansa.
